The mechanical contraption rocketed across the dust-plains, kicking up a trail worthy of the title dust-storm if it weren't chased down by a storm much more deserving of the title.

The young woman, face hidden by a breath filter and goggles was singularly focused on her goal: a nondescript piece of the landscape, devoid of vegetation. A twist of her hand, and the rocket-car shot forward, wheels skipping on the ground.

The land groaned as dust-riddled machinery roared to life at the woman's approach, the surface layer of the landscape opening up to reveal a passage out of the desolate wasteland.

With a whoop of joy, the woman directed her rapidly-moving vehicle down the entrance, sighing in relief as the relentless sun was blocked by the cool roof of earth above her. The machinery she and her vehicle blew right past churned as it closed the earth behind her.

Hundreds of feet down the tunnel, though only a few seconds at her speed, it opened up to a spacious cavern blocked by a gate.

Sabrina slammed the hard brake and spun, the dizziness a reckoned crescendo for her racing victory across the dust-plains.

Her vehicle stopped sideways next to the guard post, the guard inside giving her the stink-eye.
